10 September 2014 - General de Alquiler de Maquinaria (GAM), the Spanish multinational company which specialises in the comprehensive management of machinery, has returned to the Vuelta Ciclista a España for the eighth consecutive year, the 2014 event, providing one of the most complete machinery and technical assistance services.
The reach that the company has within the Iberian Peninsula gives it a major competitive advantage when faced with a project of this size, given the logistic and assistance demands that this sporting event requires.
As the official supplier for the Vuelta, GAM exclusively provides power for the 21 stages of this year’s event, including transport and logistics, as well as support for the live RTVE broadcast.
The service includes half a dozen low-power and up to 250KVA generators, with fuel tanks for refuelling, switchboards, supply and other accessories. Several all-terrain forklifts, transport gondolas and overhead cranes complete the range of machinery that GAM will provide at the start and finish point.
The company will provide a 24 hour assistance and security service, as well as specialised technical staff.
